Impact on Young People

Impact on Communities

At the community level, EAST has contributed to stronger social cohesion and increased local engagement by creating inclusive spaces for dialogue, learning, and cooperation. Local activities and workshops fostered a sense of belonging, encouraged active participation, and supported community-based responses to social, environmental, and civic challenges, reinforcing the role of young people as active contributors to their local environments.

International Impact

Impact in numbers

Our activities have directly empowered hundreds of young people by strengthening their civic awareness, personal development, employability skills, and confidence to participate actively in society. Through Erasmus+ mobilities, local workshops, and youth exchanges, participants developed competences related to active citizenship, sustainability, wellbeing, critical thinking, and leadership, while gaining meaningful international and local learning experiences that support their long-term personal and professional growth .

Internationally, EAST has strengthened European and transnational cooperation by building partnerships across multiple countries and regions. Erasmus+ mobility projects and cooperation partnerships enabled intercultural learning, exchange of good practices, and shared approaches to common challenges such as civic engagement, sustainability, mental health, and inclusion, contributing to a stronger sense of European identity and collaboration.

Educational Impact

EAST’s work has enhanced the quality of non-formal education by introducing innovative, participatory, and experiential learning approaches. Through training courses, youth exchanges, and cooperation projects, educators and youth workers strengthened their facilitation, mentoring, and programme design skills, while new educational tools, frameworks, and resources were developed to support inclusive, high-quality learning aligned with Erasmus+ priorities.

Long-Term Impact

Impact

The long-term impact of EAST’s work lies in sustained capacity building, strengthened networks, and the continuation of civic and educational initiatives beyond individual projects. By empowering young people, youth workers, and organisations with competences, tools, and partnerships, the organisation lays the groundwork for lasting engagement, future project development, and the multiplication of impact at local, national, and European levels .
