TC “Revitalizing Ecosystems Through Experientialisation”

Summary

This solution-focused project addresses crucial and pressing issues, emphasizing social and human well-being through the “Experientialisation” approach. This approach lies in Experiential Outdoor Education (EOE), where youth workers learn how to design and lead outdoor nature-based activities to enhance youth inclusion and well-being while acting for the environment. In our use of the EOE approach, we use experiential outdoor activities to boost personal growth and group development through authentic experiences, group interactions, and self-exploration.

Dates: 13. - 20. 10. 2024.

Status: Already implemented

Main objectives:

  • reintroduce experiential outdoor education in a way that caters more for the safety and wellbeing of the participants;

  • explore experiential outdoor method in a way that does not exclude people who can not stand heavy physical pressure

  • be able to use outdoor methods it in a proper and adequate way that matches the conditions of the participants

  • be able to make use of easily accessible outdoor places such as public yards, community gardens, and national parks;

  • allow everyone to experience outdoor education without physically demanding requirements

Participant profile:

  • Croatian residency

  • 20-35 years old

  • youth worker or actively involved in the work of an organization

  • wants to improve their knowledge of sustainability

  • wants to learn new skills, methods, and tools

  • can communicate in English on a sufficient level

  • the project is fully financed by the European Commission as part of the Erasmus+ Programme

  • cost of food, accommodation and green travel (up to 100€) is fully covered!
